Our librarians love talking to readers about the books they choose, feelings toward genres, and reactions to characters, authors, and situations they encounter. With a collection of more than 103,000 books in our building, it's only natural that we find new ways to connect eager readers with titles that match their reading styles.
In September, we introduce Story Stash, a free monthly book subscription service for adults where our staff uses insights from patrons to select two surprise books chosen to deliver a satisfying reading experience.

To sign up, complete and submit our survey which will provide your contact information and allow you to answer questions about your favorite genres, authors, and what level of intensity you like in stories you read. Sharing what you don't like might help, too.
Our first-come, first-served approach has room for 40 initial subscribers. We offer pick-up options -- we alert you when your Story Stash box is ready and you can get it at the main library or at our Hometown Hub locations in Junction City or Perryville. Through our Outreach team, a home delivery and pick-up option is also available.
Like with all library books, you are a borrower: Should you need extra time with one book or both, we can gladly renew them for 
you. You may return books to any library return location. Your box will include a deadline for returning it so that we can prepare for the next month's selections.
