Calling all aspiring creative writers! On Tues., March 3 at 3:30 PM, young adults are invited to join Virginia Smith, author and president of Bluegrass Writers Coalition, for a special writing workshop, "Dive Deep! Exploring the Depths of POV.” This workshop is offered in support of the Frank X Walker Creative Arts Festival. (Ages 11-17) Click here for more info.

Join us at BCPL for Just Try It! This is a program series for anyone to come and enjoy a new experience or activity without the cost and commitment that could hold them back. This month we're partnering with local quilter, Nancy Lindsay, for a two-part session on learning how to quilt for beginners. The first session will cover some sewing and machine basics. This year’s Frank X Walker Creative Arts Festival will take place March 2-7 at Danville High School. Students in grades K-12 in Danville, Boyle County, and the surrounding counties participated in the categories of poetry, visual art, playwriting, songwriting, and illustrated poetry. This year’s theme is “Origin Story.” Winning visual art and illustrated poetry entries will be on exhibit at BCPL March 7-27. The opening reception will be held in the Gallery on Sat., March 7 at 2 PM. Click here for more info.
