Gallery Opening Reception: Macel's Art (Macel Hamilton)

The Boyle County Public Library welcomes area artist Macel Hamilton as the exhibiting artist for February.

Macel is a self-taught artist originally from Eastern Kentucky who currently resides in the knobs of Casey County. She has always had a love for art and many say she has a “God-given” talent for painting and drawing. Macel, however, calls it "perseverance and frustration” with a firm belief that you can teach yourself anything. 

Her exhibition, "Macel’s Art," will run from Feb. 4-28 in the Georgia de Araujo Gallery. We ask you to join us for a gallery opening reception on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
