The Boyle County Public Library is open to the public.
The health and safety of our staff and patrons are our highest priority. Library administrators are monitoring the situation pertaining to COVID-19 and will act in accordance with recommendations from state and local authorities.
Programming is available for all ages. Visit our Events page for a complete listing of all upcoming activities. We offer in-person programs, both on and off site. Masks are currently optional when visiting the Library. (Masks may be required at indoor, in-person events. These plans will be monitored and re-evaluated as needed.)

Patrons can access library materials via the online library collection or through In-person Browsing and Curbside Pickup.
Curbside Pickup is available. This service is available during the library's normal operating hours. Orders can be placed by calling 859-238-7323 or emailing library@boylepublib.org. Items ordered before 12:00 Noon (when the library is open) will be available by the following business day. Visit the Curbside Pickup page for more information.
Service to shut-ins has resumed on a monthly basis. This currently does not include any residential or day facilities.
In-person Browsing is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 am-5:30 pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am-8:00 pm; and Saturdays from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Patrons are asked to wear a mask when recommended and maintain a social distance of 6' when possible while in the building. (When Boyle County is in the Red, we encourage our patrons to utilize Curbside Pickup.)
Public Computer access is available Monday-Saturday when the library is open. Access will be limited to 1-hour time blocks, but time may be extended depending on demand. There are currently 12 computers available for public use and are spaced in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Computer stations will be sanitized between sessions. Printing and copying is available. Youth computers are available in the Children's Library.
Faxing and Notary services are available Monday-Friday from 9:30 am-5:30 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Faxing is available for walk-ins. Notary service is available by appointment only. Please call 859-238-7323 to schedule an appointment.
The outdoor book drop is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Materials may be returned to either the outdoor or indoor book drop.
All materials returned to the library will be treated with EPA / CDC approved cleaning protocol.
As a service to our patrons, the Library is has extended all lending periods and no longer charges overdue fees. Learn more about the Library going Fine Free.
Wi-Fi is available for free in the library parking lot. The network is called PublicLibraryWireless and does not require a password to connect.
Customers are encouraged to take advantage of the Library’s online resources and online library collection on our website. We have increased the numbers of items that patrons can check out on Kentucky Libraries Unbound which can be accessed with the Libby or Overdrive apps.
