"Unleash Your Story: Yes, You Can Write a Book!"

May 2, 2019

Do you dream of seeing your name on the cover of a book?

On Thursday, May 2 at 6:00 p.m. the library will host a writing workshop featuring children's author Leigh Anne Florence, her husband Ron Florence, and author F.A. Edwards, who will discuss a variety of subjects such as writing tips, the publishing process, and will spend ample time answering questions.

This workshop is ideal for writers who have notebooks filled with stories waiting to be published and for those who have a story inside but aren’t sure how to put it on paper.

This engaging workshop should appeal to a variety of writers, and will offer two different perspectives. The Florences' perspective of writing children's books full time and self-publishing, and Edwards' perspective of writing for adults and starting the process a bit later in life.

Leigh Anne Florence is the author and publisher of the children's book series Woody: The Kentucky Weiner, a collection of eight books about her dogs Woody and Chloe. Her husband Ron is the business mind behind the Woody books. As manager, he offers a wealth of insight into the publishing process. The husband-wife team, along with their dogs, often spend their days in schools, libraries, and other venues doing motivational speaking and writing workshops. This will be their first time presenting with F.A. Edwards, author of Haunted and several other books. The Florences are currently in the process of editing Edwards’ new book.
