International Conductors' Festival - Danville to Visit the Library

At ICF-Danville, guest conductors from around the country and around the world will lead the Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra, letting you fully see the difference a conductor makes. ICF-Danville is also a community music festival with both formal and informal events for adults and children. The festival will run July 18-30. All ICF-Danville events are free and open to the public, except for VIP events.

Peter and the Wolf Performance

Wednesday, July 20th at 3:00 pm

As part of the International Conductors' Festival - Danville, the Library will host a woodwind quintet performance of Peter and the Wolf on Wednesday, July 20th at 3:00 pm. This special event for families is free and will be held in the Community Room. (Students who take part in the mask-making activity at the Community Arts Center on July 19th will also be a part of the performance.)



"Learn to Play Brass" Workshop (at the Community Arts Center)

"Learn to Play Brass" Performance (at the Library)

Wednesday, July 27th from 2:00 - 3:30 pm

A learn-to-play-brass workshop for children will be held at the Community Arts Center (at 2:00 pm) followed by a parade (beginning at 2:45pm) to the Library where there will be a short performance (at 3:00 pm) of what the children learned in the workshop. Funding for this event by Direct Experience in Artistic Living, Inc. a 501(c)3 company.  (Performance in the Library Park)
