Friends of the Library Fall Film Series Gives Nod to Poe
The Friends of the Library Fall Film Series kicks off on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 pm in the Community Room at the Boyle County Public Library. The Film Series has been designed to support and enhance The Big Read: Unpuzzling Poe events offered in September and October. Some of the films selected are very closely connected to the Poe work upon which it is based. Others have only the slightest connection, while two have only the title in common with Poe.
The films will be introduced each evening by Charles Vahlkamp, professor emeritus at Centre College. There is no charge for admission, and free popcorn will be available. The film series will run on Thursday evenings through October 29, 2015. An interpreter for the deaf is available upon request by contacting the Library 48-hours in advance at 859-238-7323.
Due to licensing restrictions, the use of the film titles is prohibited outside of the Library. However, the descriptions of the films are listed below, and inquiring minds can find out what movies will be shown by either visiting or calling the Library.
