Edinburgh Energy: Experiencing the Great Scottish Vote
The Friends of the Library continue their Spring program line-up on Thursday, April 16th at 4:30 pm with "Edinburgh Energy: Experiencing the Great Scottish Vote."
Dramatic events often happen in Edinburgh, Scotland. This capitol city is home to the world famous Edinburgh Festival of Arts and Culture. As the world’s first UNESCO designated City of Literature, Edinburgh is the birthplace of dramatic stories such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Harry Potter. The "Great Scottish YES/NO Vote on Independence from the United Kingdom," however, was a drama 300 years in the making. Come experience the debate, vote, and reconciliation week through the camera lens and stories of Gayle Waddell, with Scottish music from Phillip Jones and Friends.
This free program is open to the public and will be held in the Community Room at the Library.
