This month - "Two Permanent Markers: A Revolution, a Librarian, and the Settling of Kentucky." Hear the story of a Virginia Treasury Land Warrant dated to 1792, covering 6,000 acres of land in the coalescing state of Kentucky, sold to the first Librarian of Congress and friend of Thomas Jefferson, John Beckley. Donated to the Boyle County Public Library in 1920, our staff have uncovered this document again, one hundred years later.
