Bicentennial Lecture Series at the
Boyle County Public Library
On Christmas Day 1809, Dr. Ephraim McDowell performed the world’s first successful abdominal surgery here in Danville. The Ephraim McDowell House Museum is celebrating this landmark event with the McDowell/Crawford Bicentennial Lecture Series at the Boyle County Public Library. The Bicentennial Lecture Series features:
