Lathering with Love: Giving Your Dog a Relaxing Bath
Sunday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m. 

On Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., Trudi Jensen, from Lather with Love Dog Groom & Spa, will teach loving techniques for at-home dog care, such as bathing, nail trimming, and dog massage. This program will be held in the Community Room. All ages are welcome.


Adulting: Tools 101
Monday, February 26th at 6:00 p.m. 

On Monday evening at 6:00 p.m., the Library will host “Adulting,” a monthly program series that explores the different skills adults need to thrive. This month, participants will discover that most small jobs around the house can be handled with a basic tool kit. They’ll learn the components of a basic tool kit and what each tool can be used for. The first 25 registered participants who attend will receive a free, small tool kit. This program is offered in partnership with the Boyle County Extension Office and will be held in the Community Room at the Library.


Meditation Monday
Monday, February 26th at 6:30 p.m. 

On Monday evenings the Library provides a quiet space in the Mahan Gallery for anyone wanting to practice meditation. On Monday at 6:30 p.m., there will be a guided session that will include a discussion about the various digital meditation apps available to use.

Protect Your History: Archival Scrapbooks
Saturday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m. 

On Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., the Library will host “Archival Scrapbooks,” part of the “Protect Your History” monthly workshop series offered at the Library. This month participants will learn how to protect old scrapbooks and learn about proper materials to use in new scrapbooks. Participants may bring in scrapbooks for condition assessment. This program will be held in the Mahan Gallery.


Tween Writing
Monday, February 26th at 4:00 p.m. 

On Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., the Library will host a writing group for tweens. Participants will have fun with creative writing using prompts and writing games. This month tweens will play Roll-a-Story. For ages 9-13.


Teen Book Chat
Tuesday, February 27th at 4:00 p.m. 

On Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., the Library will host a book chat for teens. This informal book group provides teens (ages 13-18) a forum to talk about their favorite books with fellow bibliophiles.


Now Playing Night
Thursday, March 1st at 5:00 p.m. 

On Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m., the Library will host "Now Playing Night," a fun evening where tweens can hang out at the Library playing board games and watching a movie. This month, we'll show "Horton Hears a Who," an animated film from 2008 based on a Dr. Seuss book about an elephant who finds a society of microscopic creatures living on a speck of dust. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. For ages 9-13.


Kid's Homeschool Book Club
Friday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. 

The Kid’s Homeschool Book Club will meet this Friday at 2:00 p.m. Led by Children’s Librarian Libby McWhorter, this book club is designed for children ages 5-8 and features a book discussion and trivia activities. This month, participants are reading Aesops Fables retold by Ann McGovern. Snacks will be served. Register for this club in the Children’s Library.


Friday, March 2nd at 4:00 p.m.

The Library will host LEGO Club on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Storytime Room. The finished LEGO creations will be placed on display in the Children's Library.
