The Boyle County Public Library offers many fun, educational events throughout the year. Weekly programs include Crafters Who Care on Mondays at 6:00 p.m., Storytimes on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, and Coding Clubs on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. In addition to these weekly events, the following Library-sponsored programs are scheduled for this week:

 

Adult How-To Workshop: Green Cleaning
Monday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

The Library offers a monthly "How-To" program series for adults where participants can explore the information and skills needed for a new hobby or activity, guided by a local expert. On Monday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m., the Library will host "Green Cleaning," presented by Alethea Price from the Boyle County Cooperative Extension Office. Workshop participants will learn how to how create “green” cleaning products out of household ingredients. This program will be held in the Community Room.

 

Nutrition Condition (Week 8)
Thursday, May 25th at Noon 

On Thursday May 25th at noon, the Library will be hosting "Nutrition Condition," a health and wellness workshop series offered in partnership with the Boyle County Cooperative Extension Office. Workshop participants will learn how to improve their nutrient intake and learn how to eat better on a budget. This the final week of the series.


Tween Lab
Thursday, May 25th at 4:00 p.m. 

The Boyle County Public Library offers a monthly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) lab for tweens. Tween Lab will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 4:00 pm in the Children's Library. This month, participants will be making "fluffy slime." Registration is required for this event. Tweens (ages 9-13) interested in attending may register for the program by signing up in the Children’s Library.


Teen Book Club
Friday, May 26th at 4:00 p.m. 

The Teen Book Club will meet at the Boyle County Public Library on Friday, May 26th at 4:00 pm. The book club, for ages 13-18, will be discussing Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. Snacks will be provided. To receive a copy of the book, please see Julia Basil at the Library.


Computer Classes

In the ongoing effort to promote lifelong learning, the Library offers a wide variety of free computer classes every month. The following classes are scheduled for this week:

Intro. to Microsoft PowerPoint on Tuesday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m.

Job Seeking and Applications on Thursday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m.
