Children are invited to bring a stuffed animal to this special bedtime storytime in which the animals get to spend the night in the library! Make a picture frame craft and get a photo of their overnight adventure the next day when you come to pick them up. Pajamas are welcome!

Tween Iron Chef

The library will host a culinary cook-off for tweens inspired by the famous Food Network show. Budding chefs will have a chance to battle it out to see whose cuisine will reign supreme. The team that prepares the tastiest dish will win the cooking competition. This battle's main ingredient will be tacos!

Children's Bookmark Contest

To celebrate Children's Book Week (May 2-8), BCPL is having a children's bookmark design contest. This year, all designs should reflect our summer reading theme, "On Your Mark, Get Set...READ!" Your bookmark can be about sports, dance, bicycling, martial arts, hiking, yoga, swimming, or any other physical activity you enjoy. All entries will be displayed in the library during June and the winning bookmark in each age group will be printed and distributed at the library this summer.
